Kenya’s representatives in the Caf Champions League Tusker and those in the Confederations Cup Ulinzi Stars have been handed fair draws for their specific tournaments in 2017.
Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Tusker have been drawn against Mauritius side AS Port Louis 2000 in the preliminary round of the Champions League and will be starting their quest for continental glory at home on 10 – 12 February 2017.
A win for Tusker will set the Brewers up against Sudanese opposition, in Al Hilal, with the first leg scheduled for 10 – 12 March 2017 in Sudan.
In the Confederations Cup Ulinzi Stars, who qualified by finishing second to Tusker in the GOtv Shield in 2016, will have it tough after being handed Libya’s Hilal Benghazi.
The Nakuru based side will be traveling away for the first leg on the 10 – 12 February 2017 weekend before hosting the North Africans one week later in Nairobi.
A win on aggregate in this fixture would see Ulinzi Stars take on a tougher opponent in Egyptian side Smouha in the first round of the competition.
