Former Ghana FA Cup winner Tom Strand is sure that he has the qualities to manage the Black Stars.

Having been introduced to the country's football through an initial appointment with Bechem United, the Swede quickly impressed with his ability to build successful sides out of small budgets.

A move to the richer Medeama SC gave him better players and improved resources, which he used to garner an FA Cup trophy, and then a sojourn in continental African club football.

At the moment, he is clubless. "Of course I would like to coach the Black Stars but I don’t think my time is now. I would like to do that in 2022," he told Kumasi-based Ultimate FM.
